Plus Sized Lingerie- A boudoir tog’s take

As a boudoir tog (tog = photographer), I have SO many clients who don’t fall within the typical XS-XL lingerie sizing you see at Victoria’s Secret. I have a full 20 page prep guide for the clients who book with me.. but I get a lot of DMs about lingerie and the topic of plus sized lingerie has come up a few times, so let’s blog it, baby!

I tell all my clients the same thing.. bodies are bodies are bodies. I use the same lighting and posing for all my clients, no matter what bra or panty size they wear, and every single one of the women I’ve worked with look AMAZING. That being said, there are certainly different types of lingerie that will accentuate certain areas or certain body types. This is not an all inclusive blog about what to wear for each body type. This is about plus sized lingerie, so let’s get into it! This list is not in order of favoritism.. just the order they popped into my head.

1. Torrid– Torrid goes up to size 6X, and pricing is super affordable.. starting as low as $20. Check out these cute pieces!

2. Savage X Fenty – Savage is a brand by Rihanna. You can sign up for a subscription, or purchase regularly. Sizes run up to 4X. Check out these cute pieces!

3. Adore Me – Adore me is a subscription brand, BUT you can skip the month, cancel when you want and they have super cute stuff with sizes inclusive up to 4X.

4. Playful Promises – Sizes go up to US 24. This is a pricier brand but they make up for costy-ness in super unique designs, as well as (obviously) quality.

There are MANY other brands that offer a variety of sizing for lingerie, but these are my top 4 favorites!

Those are my recs for lingerie if you wear a size beyond a large or extra large! As always, I recommend you bring a variety of pieces within your comfort zone, and maybe even 1 outside your comfort zone.
